On September 25, Typhoon Karding, the 11th Tropical Cyclone in 2022, barreled through multiple areas in the Philippines. Some residences of our learners in Nangka Elementary School and Kasiglahan Village Elementary School were severely affected by the widespread damages. The said aftermath was quickly surveyed by SAI. Both mild and severe cases were found, with severe being fewer in number.

SAI manifested one of its core values, Malasakit, in the midst of this disaster. SAI launched assistance by purchasing grocery packs, prioritizing health care and food supplies. Together with the active parent leaders, immediate distribution was achieved. It was a fulfillment to have aided the needs of the learners and awe that their dedication to Silid Aralan’s sessions was unswayed.
