Silid Aralan ni Nanay Jen is a home learning space located in Sitio Lia-onan, Brgy. Caub, Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte. Through the dedication of Nanay Jen, she aims to empower the learners in her community.

SAI discovered the home learning space of Nanay Jen last year. It has been a wonderful and great learning year for the 20 learners who are beneficiaries of the program. As part of the partnership between Silid Aralan and Nanay Jen, her learning hub was renovated to prepare for the new learning year. The organization would like to ensure that the learning space is responsive to the community’s context, relevant to the learners’ needs, safe and conducive.

I believe that everyone can be a promoter of change just like Nanay Jen. Through our support, we can empower the young learners to open their minds to the colorful life of our community.
