I traveled to Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte on August 24 to 26, 2023 to visit the Pagudpud Central Elementary School Learning Hub and to orient the new Principal about Silid Aralan and the new Ground Zero program that the organization is going to implement this learning year.

I arrived at 8:30 in the morning on August 25 and despite the tiring trip I directly visited the Principal’s Office to share Silid Aralan’s background and the plan for the upcoming learning year. The Principal set up a teacher’s meeting and included Silid Aralan in the agenda. I shared about the organization to the teachers and listened to their thoughts on the new approach to the Ground Zero Program.

At the end of the meeting, I saw that each teacher is considering the idea of us helping them in the implementation of the remediation program, in co-developing the learning plans, and in providing the learning materials; because ultimately the remediation program and Silid Aralan have the same purpose – we are pursuing it for the sake of our learners.
