Silid Aralan, Inc. (SAI) Executive Director and co-founder, Mr. Arcie Mallari presented in the Global Youth Forum 2015 held in Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center last October 1-3, 2015.<\/p>\n
The Global Youth Forum 2015 was themed \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Youth on the Move\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in support of United Nations World Tourism Organization\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s theme, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153One Billion Tourists: One Billion Opportunities\u00e2\u20ac\u009d with the purpose to enlighten the youth about the many opportunities in various fields especially in the tourism industry, to showcase different experiences from successful ventures and projects that could enrich the quality of life of the youth in the future and to expose the Local Government Officials with various success stories that could guide them in developing their future policies and programs for the youth sector. The program was divided into five sections that addressed different themes, such as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Country\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Future \u00e2\u20ac\u201cGetting Youth into Tourism Job,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Sowers of Change \u00e2\u20ac\u201cEducation,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Creating Opportunities for Dialogue and Encounter \u00e2\u20ac\u201cSocial Media IT,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Economic Development in the Countryside Versus Environmental Concerns,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Global Market for Local Talents \u00e2\u20ac\u201cASEAN Youth on the Move.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
During the second session, October 2, 2015 (Friday), Mr. Mallari was one of the presenters of the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Sowers of Change \u00e2\u20ac\u201cEducation\u00e2\u20ac\u009d along with Mr. Efren Penaflorida \u00e2\u20ac\u201cCNN Hero and Founder of Kariton Foundation and Ms. Czarina Constantino \u00e2\u20ac\u201cTraining Specialist I, Haribon Foundation. The keynote Speaker was Hon. Roman T. Romulo \u00e2\u20ac\u201cCongressman, Pasig City.<\/p>\n
Mr. Mallari talked about Silid Aralan\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s history and advocacies for the empowerment of the youth, upholding the principle that \u00e2\u20ac\u0153In every underachieving child lies a genius.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d It was preceded by the third session: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Creating Opportunities for Dialogue and Encounter \u00e2\u20ac\u201cSocial Media IT,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and the fourth session: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Economic Development in the Countryside Versus Environmental Concerns,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on that same day.<\/p>\n
