Two of the activities were the Parents\u2019 Orientation and the Training and Capacity-Building for volunteers. These activities were conducted in preparation for the learning program that will be conducted at the Municipal Library of Del Carmen for the community children.<\/span><\/p>\n \n The Parent’s Orientation was held on December 5, 2024 at Bhayay Numancia, Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte where a total of 61 parents were present. The orientation aimed to introduce the organization to the parents, to inform them of their roles and responsibilities as a Silid Aralan parent, and to make their participation official through a Memorandum of Agreement signing. It was a great opportunity for the Silid Aralan team and parents to discuss the program, address any concerns, and answer any questions before the parents fully commit to the program.<\/span><\/p>\n \n The next day, December 6, 2024, a Co-learner\u2019s Training and Capacity Building was held at the Del Carmen Municipal Hall to prepare the volunteers who will be handling the learning sessions at the Municipal Library. There were four volunteers present – two are staff of the Municipal Library and two are students. During the training, the organization and Ground Zero program were introduced to the participants. Moreover, they were taught on how to use and navigate the tools that they will be using to effectively implement the learning sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n \n It was truly a great experience to meet the parents and volunteers who will become part of the first batch of learners from the Municipal Library. It is the organization\u2019s hope that everyone will enjoy the learning journey and will grow together.
