SAI and LGU Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte begins new partnership

On December 4, 2024, Silid Aralan and the Municipality of Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte officially marked a new partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing. The partnership aims to implement the Silid Aralan Ground Zero Program at the Municipal Library where 100 community children will form part of the first batch. The MOA signing was attended by the following Silid Aralan representatives: Chief Motivation Officer Arcie Mallari, Business Development Team Leader Krisha June Burgos, Administrative Services Team Leader Hazel Mallari, and Learning and Development Assistant Julius Nico Saturno. The Municipality of Del Carmen, on the other hand, was represented by Mayor Alfredo Coro II and Municipal Library Staff Deann Doligol.

The following day, December 5, 2024, the Ground Zero Program was officially launched at Del Carmen, inviting the parents and municipal leaders to learn more about the program and celebrate the new partnership. The PEESO Manager of the municipality, Ms. Riavida Soriaga, graced the said the event and delivered a message to everyone present. The launching was immediately followed by a Parents’ Orientation.

The learning sessions are set to begin on January 18, 2025. Staff from the Municipal Library and individual volunteers will lead the learning sessions as Co-learners (or class facilitators). The first term will run from January 2025 to April 2025. The Silid Aralan team thanks the Municipality of Del Carmen for the continued partnership and for their commitment to make education and empowerment available for the community children.
