DEL CARMEN, SIARGAO — From September 2 to 4, 2026, Silid Aralan, Inc. embarked on another meaningful journey in Mindanao, bringing our Read to Lead program to the Municipality of Del Carmen, Siargao.
Serving as Head Co-Learner, I co-facilitated a series of Co-Learners Training sessions alongside our Learning Management Team Leader, Ms. Krisha June A. Burgos. Hosted at the vibrant Del Carmen Municipal Library—a welcoming community hub where local children gather daily to read and explore—the sessions equipped our local Co-Learners with the essential tools, strategies, and mindsets needed to guide our learners effectively.
Equally inspiring was the Parents’ Orientation, where parents formally signed their Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). Beyond a formal document, each signature represented a heartfelt pledge: a commitment from parents to actively walk alongside their children on their educational journey.
In alignment with this year’s theme, PAGLAWIG, these activities reflect what it means to journey farther together. By uniting our schools, families, and the Local Government Unit (LGU), Del Carmen is taking true co-ownership of its children’s future—proving that when an entire community stands together, we empower every learner to go From Left Behind to Leading Forward.
