Silid Aralan and Bear Hug: A Partnership for Children’s Education

On July 19, 2025, a significant collaboration for children’s education was formalized as Silid Aralan, Inc. and Bear Hug Community Development Inc., a non-governmental organization based in Baseco Port Area, Manila, signed a Memorandum of Agreement. This partnership is specifically designed to empower Bear Hug’s beneficiaries, fostering greater confidence and competence in their educational journeys. The joint program aims to provide crucial support and resources directly impacting the academic development of the children in the community.

The signing ceremony was led by key representatives from both organizations to seal the partnership and discuss the upcoming steps. Ms. Jane Alexandra Mata and Ms. Tere Hizon represented Bear Hug, while Mr. Arcie G. Mallari and yours truly were present for Silid Aralan Inc. Despite the challenging weather conditions, with heavy rain pouring due to Typhoon Crising, the MOA signing pushed through which greatly displayed the dedication of both parties.

This commitment highlights a shared passion for upliftment, demonstrating that even adverse circumstances cannot deter the determination to support children in need. The collaboration between Silid Aralan and Bear Hug truly embodies the spirit of “do whatever it takes for the sake of the children we can help,” underscoring a profound heart to serve the community.
