MONTALBAN & CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Real impact on the ground starts with listening, aligning, and walking hand-in-hand with our school partners. To prepare our learning spaces for the upcoming year, leadership representatives from Silid Aralan, Inc. (SAI) recently met with partner public schools across Luzon and Mindanao.
For us at SAI, these visits are far more than formal courtesy calls—they are moments to build trust, align our co-learning frameworks with the school’s vision, and ensure that our low-performing learners receive the exact support they need to thrive.
Building Bridges in Luzon
Marking a dynamic step forward in our regional operations, Ms. Jopie A. Sandoval, the newly appointed Head Co-Learner for Luzon and Visayas, led ground visits across key partner schools in Rizal to introduce herself and map out upcoming initiatives:
- Wawa Elementary School: Ms. Sandoval was warmly welcomed by Ms. Ma. Victoria Teleb (School Principal) and Ms. Mila Susing (School Coordinator). Their dialogue focused on identifying target co-learners and streamlining schedules to reinforce the school’s reading and remediation efforts.
- Patiis Elementary School: Meeting with Ms. Florian L. Guanio (School Principal) and Ms. Ruby Mae Delmonte (School Coordinator), both teams reaffirmed their shared dedication to creating safe, nurturing environments where struggling readers are empowered to become self-directed leaders.
Deepening Roots in Mindanao
Over in Northern Mindanao, Julius Nico E. Saturno touched base with the leadership of East City Central School in Cagayan de Oro City.
During his visit, Nico met with Mr. Peejay C. Cagara (Assistant School Principal) to refine localized hub activities, align learner progress tracking systems, and prepare for upcoming volunteer deployments. The discussion highlighted the strong, ongoing commitment between East City Central School and Silid Aralan as we pave clear pathways for our co-learners in the months ahead.
These visits reaffirm a core truth at SAI: we cannot do this work in isolation. By continuously walking alongside our school heads, coordinators, and teachers, we ensure that every session, tool, and space we build directly responds to the heartbeat of the community.
