PALANOG RESETTLEMENT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (Palanog Tacloban City)— Silid Aralan, Inc. (SAI) successfully conducted the Silid Aralan Read to Lead Co-Learners Capacity Building Training and Parents Orientation on August 29, 2026, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening literacy, empowering learning partners, and encouraging active participation among parents and the wider school community.

In a resettlement community where every child’s journey is shaped by the support of families, teachers, volunteers, and learning partners, collaboration becomes a powerful force for change. It is through this shared commitment that meaningful opportunities for learning and growth can take root.

The sessions were facilitated by Arcie G. Mallari, Founder and Chief Motivation Officer, and Jopie Sandoval, Head Co-Learner. Together, they shared practical insights and experiences that encouraged Co-Learners to see their role beyond simply teaching or guiding children. At the core of the training was a shift in mindset: to walk alongside learners as empathetic companions who listen, understand, encourage, and create a safe space where every child feels seen and valued. By building a learner’s sense of self-worth first, Co-Learners can help children develop the confidence, courage, and motivation to learn, grow, and believe in their own potential.

For Silid Aralan, Inc., being part of the Palanog community was a meaningful reminder that lasting change begins when people choose to walk together. The dedication of the Co-Learners, the openness of parents, and the shared commitment of the school community reflect a strong foundation for nurturing children who know that they are capable, valued, and worthy of support. When children are surrounded by adults who believe in them, they are given the courage to discover their strengths and take ownership of their own learning journey.
